November 3, 2011: In mid-October DCIN was notified about Spunky, a sweet young man who's owner could not properly care for him. Owner's vet contacted a friend of DCIN who immediately took Spunky in to foster.
Spunky is just 5 years old and at the time he was brought to foster he looked 15 years old for all he'd been through. He was skin and bones and had cataracts in both eyes.
In foster with Shelley in Rhode Island Spunky quickly started to improve. DCIN has supplied testing equipment to help care for this young man and will continue to support his needs for as long as needed. The picture shown is Spunky now, almost a month later and after weeks of proper care. Looking good little man, keep up the good work.
