Zoso in Alpharetta/Johns Creek, GA is home

January 23, 2011: A wonderful update from the woman who rescued Zoso:   I kept Zo and she's definintely part of the family now :)

Congratulations on finding your furrever home sweet lady.

October 25, 2011: Zoso needs your help. Surrendered to the vet to be put down because she was having urination issues, owners thought she was in kidney failure. Vet persuaded them to allow bloodwork which showed diabetes. Owners did not want to "deal" with the responsibility and treatment.

Zoso is a beautiful black and grey tabby, approximately 11 yrs young and weights about 10 pounds.

A very nice woman at the clinic would like to adopt Zoso but is still in school and cannot take her for about a year. She would love for someone to foster Zoso and treat her diabetes while she finished her schooling, then she could take her. She does realize that might not be able to work, so if someone wanted to adopt her, she would be okay with that as long as she went to a loving home.

We are told she is a lovebug and has completely turned around since she started her insulin treatment last week.

She's not urinating outside of her litterbox. Currently on 3U of ProZinc BID. She is FIV/FeLV negative, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Her rescuer says "After a couple of days of her treatment she is prancing around the hospital, rubbing on everyone, purring, enjoying a nice brushing now and then, etc. She's made a complete turn around!!! I don't regret it! I will be finishing up school in this area soon and able to transfer/move into my own place. I will pay for everything for Zoso. I have committed to my new baby. I will pay for her food, needles, insulin, bedding, etc. I can send you her records if you like."
