What is DCIN?

Diabetic Cats in Need is a small, nonprofit rescue that helps diabetic cats and their people. We support diabetic cats in their original and adoptive homes, rehome unwanted diabetic cats, and help to educate caregivers on the appropriate treatment of diabetic cats. Look around our site. If you need help understanding how to treat your diabetic cat, please register and post on either or both the Feline Diabetes Message Board and Diabetic Cat Care. DCIN is also on Facebook and Yahoo Groups. If you need financial help keeping your diabetic cats, check out this page. If you are thinking about rehoming a diabetic cat, please see this page. DCIN does not have a shelter facility or an established network of foster homes, although some of the DCIN adoptable diabetic cats are sponsored in foster homes. DCIN works to match an adopter with an available cat. Many of our adoptions have been long distance. You may want to help our cause. If so, see our listing of adoptable diabetic cats here. See information about making a donation here, and our list of emergency and ongoing fundraising here. You can check out our Help Needed page here. (That page is sorely out of date, but it will help you see the kind of help we often need.) Want to see what we are doing and have done? See our video at the end of this post and our cats helped page here. If you don't see what you are looking for, or just want to talk, please contact me (Venita) at ennis93 @att.net (remove space).
